Geologic History of the Grand Canyon

  • WHAT: This project focuses on the origin of sedimentary layers in the Grand Canyon. You will observe the geology of the Grand Canyon during hiking trips into the canyon, and conducting laboratory analyses of previously collected samples.

  • WHERE: This project will involve field work in the Grand Canyon and lab work at theArizona LaserChron Center at the University of Arizona.
