Studying lake deposits and climate change in Arizona during the Miocene and Pliocene (23.5-2.5 million years ago)

WHAT: In this project you will work on microscopic fossils from ancient lake beds around the state. Our objective will be to use records of past lakes in Arizona to help us better understand likely future climate conditions in the southwest.

WHERE: This project will primarily involve lab work at the University of Arizona. Some outcrop collection of samples may also be involved.
