Igneous History of the Galiuro Volcanics

WHAT: This project involves field and laboratory-based practices. We will collect volcanic rocks from the Galiuro Mountains located NE of Tucson. You will use these samples to investigate changes in crustal thickness during mountain building in the Tucson area around 20–30 million years ago.

WHERE: This project involves lab work at the University of Arizona and field work in the Galiuro Mountains.
